Whether you are thinking about going into work, further study or taking a breather to travel, the Careers and Employment Centre is here to help you. We have information and links on a vast range of occupations and employment sectors, employers, courses and what graduates have gone on to do. Our online vacancy service, Talentbank, has hundreds of full and part time jobs, and offers the support of individual professional Careers Counsellors.

Researching a job, type of work or course before completing an application is essential to succeed in today's competitive marketplace. If you are just starting to think about your options, we would suggest that you approach your planning in the order that the links in this section have been prioritised i.e.

  • What we do for You has information on our opening times, how and where to see a Careers Counsellor, mock assessments tests and much more.
  • Who we are has profiles on the Careers & Employment Centre Staff who can help you.
  • Careers Advice has information to support your career planning,  whatever stage you are at. It also includes specialist sections for Mature, International and Post Graduate Students. The advice provided covers everything from assessing / improving your skills to action plans and there are links to information on more than 600 graduate occupations.   • Finding a Job has advice on sources of all types of employment.
  • Applying for a job provides guidance and information on all aspects of the process for getting a job, such as CVs, applications and interviews.

Even if you are at an advanced stage of your job-hunting, we would recommend that you check through these sections to ensure you haven't missed any key messages.
