Helen and Douglas House
Helen and Douglas House is a registered charity which provides respite and end of life care for terminally ill children and young people. We need volunteers with all levels of commitment - we are looking for people who would like to help out on a more casual basis at events as well as those who would like to get more involved and set up and organise their own fundraising ideas. There is lots of scope for those who enjoy being creative and inventive, or who maybe don't have the time to volunteer on such a regular basis.

Jacari
A charity providing home teaching for children living in Oxford. These children do not speak English as their first language and often come from refugee families and those seeking asylum. Volunteers spend an hour a week at their pupil's home to help them practise their English and support them in their schoolwork. This can transform a child's self-esteem, helping them to achieve things they never thought possible.
