Other Volunteering Opportunities
Guide Dogs
The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life. We empower blind and partially-sighted people to do that and we rely on the support of the public to fund our services.
We need volunteers for our fundraising branches in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire and have a variety of roles depending on how much time you have to give. For more information click here
Nightline
Nightline is a completely independent listening, support and information service run for and by students. It aims to provide every student in Oxford with the opportunity to talk to someone in confidence.
Every term, Oxford Nightline runs a training course for students at Oxford and Oxford Brookes universities who want to join our team of volunteers.

Oxfordshire Advocacy
We are actively seeking trustees to join our voluntary organisation. OA provides advocacy for people accross Oxfordshire who need support in ensuring their wishes and opinions are heard and taken into account and their rights are respected.
We are particularly looking for people with financial skills and experience, people with legal experience and background or personnel and publicity experience. However there are many other areas of skill and experience which could be of value to us.
If you are interested please contact oadg@oadg.org.uk or telephone 01865 741 200.

The Royal British Legion
A UK charity that provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. Although the needs of ex-Service people have changed over the years, we are still there to safeguard their welfare, interests and memory. We are probably best known for our role as the nation's custodian of Remembrance and the Poppy Appeal which we organise annually.

Victim Support
Victim Support is the independent charity for victims and witneses of crime right across England and Wales. We have grown to become the oldest and largest victims' organisation in the world. Every year, we contact over 1.5 million people after a crime to offer our help. Just like any other charity we need funds to support our work. We also depend on thousands of specially trained volunteers to deliver our services to victims and witnesses.

YWCA
YWCA is the leading charity working with the most disadvantaged young women in England and Wales. It operates from 14 day centres and supports women in a number of different ways, such as helping them gain work skills and enter employment, supporting them to tackle drug or alcohol addiction or assisting them with any financial problems.
By helping raise funds for YWCA you will help us to continue the invaluable work that we do in helping women overcome prejudice and take charge of their own lives.
