Talk to Us
Come and talk to us at the Careers and Employment Centre, meet us on our Roadshows at different Campus sites, or by email. We offer Drop-in, Quick Queries and Email Guidance.
‘Drop-in’
The Drop-in service enables you to speak one-to-one with a Careers Counsellor in a confidential setting on any career related issue. Whether you simply do not know where to start or have a specific query on your next steps, these sessions can be used to explore further study or gain guidance on changing or leaving your course.
Times & Locations
We do not book appointments at this stage but use a first-come, first-served queuing system. The sessions run daily at the following times and locations:
Careers & Employment Centre, HKSC on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12pm – 4pm and on Tuesday from 12 - 7pm. The earliest time that names will be taken on the day is 11.45pm and the latest is 3.30pm. This service is available throughout the year, but may be subject to change during vacations. For the most up to date information, please visit our opening times.
Wheatley Campus, Room H105 opposite the refectory, Thursdays 10am - 4pm and Fridays from 10am – 2.00pm. Please note this is a Semester-time only service
Quick Queries
Quick queries for less in depth questions and CV clinics are available at our Roadshows in the Gipsy Lane Campus. We do not book appointments but use a first-come, first-served queuing system.
Times & Locations
Look out for the Careers and Employment Centre desk in the Gipsy Lane main reception or Gibbs foyer on Thursdays between 11am and 2pm. Check the opening times link for exact location dates
Longer Appointments
Available to students who have already seen a Careers Counsellor in ‘Drop-in’. Counsellors can refer you to a longer appointment if you need more time.
E-Guidance
If you need some advice and don't have time to come in and talk to a Careers Counsellor in person, all you need to do is fill in our E-Guidance form, telling us who you are and what it is you’d like to know and we'll get back to you within three working days.
Remember that during semesters it’s often quicker to bring your CV in person and get direct feedback.
