Placement as part of your degree
Today’s employers are looking for skills you simply won't get through study alone. A work placement is an extremely valuable opportunity to develop these ‘transferable skills’. There is research to show that students who have undertaken work placements can improve their final results by as much as 10%. Employers also view placements as an excellent way to identify suitable staff for future graduate roles, as you'll see in many of our employer profiles.
Some degrees include the option to undertake a placement as part of the course. The length and criteria vary between disciplines. For further information please contact your school based Placement Manager.
If your degree does not offer the opportunity to undertake a placement, there are many alternatives open to you, click here.
